yes you can get more & more traffic by submitting blog post and articles.
Blogger is the best site for making blog & for article ezine article, programmer heaven and buzzle are the best one. but i will suggest you also to make regional blogs. Regional blogs made in different languages like German, dutch, polish and many more. You can convert english content in German or polish or any other language by using GOOGLE TRANSLATOR TOOL. than you can get traffic from different countries also. See some example of regional blogs:
