Retail florists, oftentimes it is hard to make a profit, let alone a living. In today’s economic times, especially with the inflation and high prices of fuel their flower wholesalers have to raise their prices to cover expenses.
They’ve tried using the wire services to increase sales, selling more flowers, but often this just makes things worse.
The problem with the wire services is there are just too many hidden fees; yes they do bring in more sales but not enough to cover what they cost. You have to sell hundreds of dollars worth of flowers just to pay their fees. Then to top it off you have to give them a percentage for every sale they bring in.
A successful retail florist in today’s economic times requires three things:
1. Increase sales without increasing overhead.
2. Offer their customers a superior, longer lasting product at less cost.
3. Have access to a directory of florists in every city in the United States.
For over twenty years, Lewiston Wholesale Flowers owner, Robert Ashby, has struggled trying to sell flowers in a retail business. He has tried every resource available to make a simple living, doing what he loved, making arrangements and bringing joy to others with the simple beauty of flowers. When a friend in the flower business suggested he become his own wholesaler. Rob was skeptical at first but after many years of acquiring contacts and late nights at the office, he finally started to succeed. Today Rob owns the largest flower supply company on the internet with the largest florist to florist network across the United States, connecting more florists across the US than any wire service ever thought about.
Go to Lewiston Wholesale Flowers website www.lwflowers.com.
Check out the free largest florist network in the nation, currently listing just fewer than 1,000,000 florists to zip codes. Call the flower shops where you need your flowers delivered and save 20% off the order. Furthermore, save the hidden charges and fees you would have to pay the wire services. Plus you get access to more florist across the nation than you can get from any wire service. If you shop is not already listed in the directory add it for free so all the other shops can find you when they are looking for a florist in your area.

Do You Think Afghanistan War Strategy Could be Improved?
Afghanistan is about the size of Texas, with a topography about like Switzerland.
If every single atom in the entire universe were a US taxpayer dollar, there would not be enough of them to provide security and police protection in every little mountain village all over Afghanistan.
The place is basically a vast badlands and the best policy is to let the people there take care of themselves in their own ways as they have been doing for thousnads of years.
The US does have a mission in Afghanistan which is to vaporize all Al Qaeda and Taliban training camps and safehouses.
This basically means killing enemies of USA while they sleep, in their camps, and apartments.
So 90% of this mission is all about target identification and real time high value target tracking and spotting.
The other 10% is all about launching, re-fuelling and re-arming predator UAV’s which can be done from behind the wire at Bahgram.
So we need 5000 service personelle at Bahgram, about 15,000 in the fleet offshore to launch and recover Hawkeye reconaissance planes, and occasionally fighter bombers, and about 50,000 people at NRO, NSA and Battle Mountain (Colorado).
On the ground in Afghanistan we need about a dozen 6 man teams of sensor placement specialists. These would be Delta Force guys with silent Black Helicopters. Their feet would never touch the ground until an area had been examined and declared enemy free for the moment. They would be on the ground for about 15 minutes at a time. They would instantly retreat if engaged by the enemy.
The Delta force mission would be to hand place passive IR devices. These motion sensors are directional so they can’t be dropped from airplanes. They need to be hand placed, facing the right way.
Why we do the war as we do it?
Good question.
It’s all about the equipment and skills we have on hand. Procurement drives strategy. We have an incredibly stupid strategy of counter-insurgency (sitting duck) warfare that was obsolete in Hue City Vietnam when Petraeus wrote his book about it because that’s what we have equipment and skills for.
We don’t want to up-skill, or re-skill. We don’t want to change government contracts in place. So we are always fighting the war of three wars ago. We are really ready for 1965 Vietnam. And we face the same My Lai problems that Lt. Calley faced. Sitting duck warfare never worked for any nation any time in history.
But let’s not disturb the flow of cash to the beltway contractors. Let’s not ask NSA and NRO to do their jobs, and to up-skill — learn new techniques — so hard.
Obama is just a weak and watered down version of G.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Of the three, none have the slightest clue of what Afghanistan is all about. So it’s the first war in the history of the universe where the declared mission of the invading force was to protect the civilian population (not to kill any actual enemies). War by cream puff Presidents is no war. They should have sent to Peace Corps, not the marines.

Yes, The United States should carpet bomb any strong hold several times before sending troops. Carpet bomb and suspected area where those filthy buggers may be. Who cares about the citizens? Certainly not the Afghans themselves.

Lets see, two thousand years of culture and history, as opposed to 8 years of
failed democracy procedures in Afghanistan. This is a tough one. I would have
to side with the 2 thousand years of culture and history as to how these people
wish to act. What is more like how they will act,
Part of my effort in training the Afghan National police force was to work with
them and see what skill levels they had naturally and what could be learned
by them in training procedures,
1, They are excellent fighters, they are stealth and cunning and very adept at
traversing their homeland. This relates to part of that 2 thousand year culture
and history thingy,
2. 78 to 80% of the Afghan males are dumber than a box of rocks, They can not
be trained, They do not have the mind set or the intellectual capacity to learn.
3. They are led by the very same people we are trying to run out of that country.
4. The Karzi Government is beyond the word corrupt, they wrote the book on it.
So if it were my fight and my rules and my ass on the line.
I would remove immediately all US combat personnel from the theater.
I would re-group in a perimeter defensive posture around bases of activity’s
in neutral areas to arm, equip, and maintain the Predator Drone program.
Set Up OMD 74 team operations. MOS 97Z and MOS 97 target Identifiers,
As Primarys are Identified, launch and remove the objective forever.
Tell Karzi cry all you want. But stay the hell out of the way. And O yeah we
are through sending you money. If you don’t like it. Look up in the sky, IS IT
A BIRD OR A PLANE. NO its a predator drone. and your Next.
