If you sign up, you can use the browser file hosting service on Windows and Mac, but to use the app itself, you must have Mac OSX.
The App runs in your menubar as a little icon. Drag any file or folder onto the icon and it wil automatically zip it and upload it to the internet. From here you can download it on any computer with internet access.
By far, CloudApp is the best free file hosting service out there right now.
